Lovatt Wedding Invite

Late last year I had the privilege of designing wedding invites for some very special friends. They wanted hand drawn watercolour images, with shamrocks to represent her Irish roots on the wreath around her portrait, and ferns to represent his Kiwi roots around his portrait.

The dusky pinks, blues and greens tied in with the soft colours of the bridesmaid dresses. All in all this was one of the most fairytale-like picturesque weddings I’ve been to, and it was an absolute joy working on these invites with this couple.

Kickstarter Update

Hello!

A few posts earlier I shared about my Kickstarter project to raise money to print “A Tale of Two Friends”, a story I’ve written and illustrated.

The amount of people supporting exceeded my expectations massively and I received double what I initially asked for, which meant a larger print run.

If you would like to purchase a copy (or anything else I create) they are available on my Etsy story here 🙂

Kickstarter Book Project

Once there was a little girl who dreamed of writing and illustrating picture books… and so she did.

While I was at uni I wrote and illustrated “A Tale of Two Friends” – and now that I have a bit of time on my hands I would love to bring my book to life! The thing is that with wedding costs coming up and being in-between jobs, I need some help towards printing costs – so I’ve set up a Kickstarter page.

Within an hour of launching, the target was reached!! To be honest I am rather stunned and overwhelmed with peoples’ generosity – THANK YOU!!

The page lasts for a week – more people can support this project AND get their hands on Rewards. The further support will go towards higher production, snazzier paper, an maybe even an increase in quantity – it broadens what I can do and will up the game of the final product from awesome… to seriously awesome.

The book will be available for purchase on my etsy store when ready.

Thanks again for your support – it is hugely appreciated!!

May Contain Traces of Slavery

Slave labour is used worldwide in the production of consumer goods, with over 27 million people in various forms of slavery today. This project, entitled May Contain Traces of Slavery, communicates the context and causes of modern slavery, targeting consumers who are unaware of the link between what they buy and the effect it has on the producers. These images seek to inspire viewers to be a part of the solution and take responsibility for their role within the supply chain.
